Supporting each other
Creative Black Country is a collaboration of established arts organisations and local community groups serving the whole of the Black Country which aims to help more people participate and make the most of the fantastic arts and cultural life of in our area.
Thanks to our growing network we are in a very fortunate position to be able to bring together and amplify the many voices of our cultural sector. During these unprecedented challenging times we would like to reach out and see how we support one another to ensure that anyone who works in the arts and cultural sector (whether an individual, an organisation or freelance) can access the support that is available.
We are currently connecting with statutory partners, funders and key stakeholders to understand their plans to support the cultural sector and share the emerging practical advice and financial assistance.
We would like our key partners to understand your key challenges so that we can create a Black Country response to what's needed and share the detrimental impact of Covid–19 to the decision makers. In order to do this, we asked you to tell us what’s needed.
Thank you to everyone that completed the short survey. We are in the process of collating this feedback and will share news as soon as we have it.
There may also be other great things that are going which can be shared within the Black Country to support the sector. When we find out what this is we will share across our networks.
We are not sure what will happen next, however we do know we are stronger collectively, being together will enable us to share more knowledge and expertise to hopefully deal with whatever comes our way.
If you have any questions about this please email covid@creativeblackcountry.co.uk.
In the meantime, we have put together an evolving page of resources here that you might find useful.
