Creative Connections: Corridor of Colour by Luke Perry
PROJECT: Corridor of Colour
ARTIST: Luke Perry
Luke is a Public Artist making works about under represented people, this lockdown project allows people to create ideas of support which Luke will turn into uplifting community bunting.
The project is aimed at the residents of Duncombe Steet and the shoppers and shop staff of High Street Wollaston, a social hub used even in lockdown by a large number of people across the social spectrum.
The project invites the residents to design artwork, text or shoutouts that Luke will turn into creative fabric bunting over nearly 750m of street and High Street for the benefit of all, commuters, leisure walkers and locals.
Worksheets are being posted through the resident’s doors and the ideas discussed with local businesses with the designs/ suggestions being compiled and turned into large-scale bunting which will be hung along the thoroughfare of the village.
