Finding our Funny Roots at the Loff Out Loud Festival for 'F words'
For May Half Term Loff Out Loud! is coming to the Black Country Living Museum where you are invited to clown around with the historic characters as you discover how Black Country folk stayed playful in the past and Funny Roots is getting involved.
From the 28th May to the 6th June you can explore our bostin' sense of humour and discover the ways that laughing and joking got people through all kinds of experiences. You’ll be able to meet the capering carnival characters the King and the Jester; pop to the village to see the sensationally silly street theatre; and follow the rib-tickling trail. Pre-booking is essential and you can find out more here.
As part of Loff Out Loud! you can also join Poets, Prattlers and Pandemonialists for their online Zoom workshops on Sat 29 May, to explore the ways we can use creative writing along with celebrating our Black Country dialect and heritage.
The day is part of our F WORDS project where we are working with people across communities in the Black Country on projects that focus on fun, fabulous, feel-good activities that look to bring people together.
