Do Fest 2021 - join the Dudley Time Rebels
Do Fest Dudley is a 3-day open festival curated by CoLab Dudley inviting the people of the town to get involved in some hands on doing and making.
Do Fest Dudley 2021 will be an adventure to discover new kinds of doing, creating and making that unlock our imaginations.
Bringing forgotten and unloved spaces and places to life, sharing stories and mementos which reveal hidden histories of Dudley and being super-curious about where we might find and generate dreams, you are invited to join the Time Rebels to journey on an adventure to the future.
Our relationship with the High Street is changing. Shops are closing and leaving empty spaces behind. With our High Street in decline how might we begin to change it and how might we make a kinder and more creative High Street?
Since the start of the year a group of Time Rebels have been researching ideas around the future of Dudley. Do Fest offers you the opportunity to join in to find out more about their ideas and help shape the High Street of the future.
For the Summer the Time Rebels will be developing their ideas and research into participatory projects that involve people who live, work and visit Dudley. Dudley Creates is supporting the delivery of this work so that creative projects can come to life.

Do Fest will take place on Dudley High Street from Friday 30 July to Sunday 1 August from 10am-4pm each day and is the first time many of the Time Rebels have been able to produce projects with people due to the pandemic.
You’ll be able to try your hand at making a collage with The Black Country Collage Club; learn how to become a Time Rebel with Juneau Projects; write Poetry with Willis the Poet; try using your body to make creative art with Marlene; find out how to make a High Street playful and more inviting with Juliet; share your Growing Up In Dudley stories with the Dudley People’s Archive; learn how the street can help you answer life’s big(Ishtiaq) questions with Street Wizard Lorna; and become a street detectorist with Holly and Jo.
