Volunteers Make a Difference at 'Same Difference' Festival, Wolverhampton
Some of Wolverhampton’s brightest young creative talent had chance to show off their skills at this year’s Same Difference festival in the city’s West Park. And it wasn’t just the young performers who shone, so did the fantastic group of volunteers who came together to support the day.
On site from 10.00am, one of the early tasks was to attend the team briefing.

… before the gates were opened and visitors allowed in.
The drizzly morning meant a bit of a slow start, but it wasn’t long before the arts and crafts tents started to fill up.
Artist Holly, invited everyone to co-create a piece of installation art showcasing the causes that matter to them.
As the day progressed it was interesting to see what people cared about and the issues concerning them.
Friendships were celebrated, with artist Kathleen Fabre exploring the symbolic meaning of colours and design, leading a workshop creating wearable art.
And the Fabric Tattoo Company tent was home to workshops decorating tote bags and reusable drinks cups.
If hands on creativity wasn’t your thing then you could just enjoy the performances of young poets and singers who were on hand to entertain throughout the day. They certainly drew an appreciative crowd.
Old or young, whether taking part or simply appreciating the talent of others, it proved to be a day of smiles all round.
