VIDEO: The Hidden hands of Walsall by Tereza Buskova
The Hidden Hands of Walsall procession took place in the town centre at the end of November and has been captured in this beautiful film by Carl Gibbons.
During the Autumn, artist Tereza Buskova hosted a number of workshops with a group of women from diverse backgrounds living in Walsall who regularly meet at Aaina Community Hub.
The participants used a variety of creative techniques to design and make a stunning headdress that reflect their experiences and culture. During the procession he women were accompanied by Karolina Wegrzyn who sang a powerful Polish folk song alongside violinist Ann Jones.
The project was part of Walsall Makes - a series of events, pop-ups and micro-commissions that have been taking place across the town over the last 6 months.
The micro-grants programme funded part of The Hidden Hands of Walsall and was supported by One Walsall with funding from West Midlands Combined Authority.
