MORE TO EXPLORE: Creative Climate and Nature Journaling - FREE 10-week course

MORE TO EXPLORE NEWS

Thanks to support from CBC’s MORE TO EXPLORE strand Megan Wakefield is offering a free course from September 2024 where participants will be invited to use art, writing or other media to build up a unique creative journal.

Working in the company of others and inspired by a series of nature and climate related themes, with guidance on creative techniques, and information on accessible ways to act for their environment, Megan has developed the course as a way in which people can record their responses to the changing climate in community with others.

”Connection with nature has well-researched benefits for health and wellbeing”, says Megan. “But I hope to also inspire people to slow down, notice and really experience nature. As David Attenborough has said, “No one will protect what they don't care about, and no one will care about what they have never experienced”.

This course gives people time, space and inspiration to ‘journal’ their experiences in several creative ways. You don’t have to be an ‘artist’ or ‘activist’ to join, and no prior experience is necessary; I offer simply a forum to try things out, reflect and learn together.
