Celebrating 10 Years of Creative Black Country - the party

Creative Black Country recently threw an unforgettable party to celebrate ten years of creativity, connection and community!

Over the past decade, we’ve worked with hundreds of local creatives, artists and community groups to spark imagination and pride across the Black Country.

Our 10-year celebration, held at Wolverhampton Art Gallery, brought everyone together for an incredible night filled with live performances, films and some well-deserved recognition of the brilliant people we’ve been fortunate enough to collaborate with over the years.

The event wasn’t just about looking back — it was a powerful reminder of the impact that creativity has had, and continues to have, in local communities.

The night included an inspiring panel discussion chaired by Darren Henley, CEO of Arts Council England. Guests were encouraged to roll up their sleeves and get creative with a screen printing workshop which gave attendees the chance to take home a unique memento of the night. Meanwhile fun Portraits captured guests in live, spontaneous, animal -inspired artworks, adding a touch of interactive artistry to the evening.

The soundtrack of the night was provided by the incredible Dalbir Singh Rattan, whose live music set the atmosphere for celebration. The evening also featured a moving performance by choir Diversity Music First, showcasing the power of collective voices coming together.

Thanks to the team at madewithtakt.com who captured the event so beautifully and of course to everyone that joined in the celebration.
